5-Step Guide to Getting Started with IcePORTAL

1. Purchase. Purchase IcePORTAL package and any optional features for your company from our online store.  IceWEB Customer Service will contact you within one business day to obtain payment information and confirm your order. You will receive a "Welcome to IcePORTAL" email confirming your purchase which includes your initial admin account and password. If you are an existing IceMAIL customer, contact IceWEB Customer Service before ordering online.
2. Create User Accounts/Mailboxes. In order for users to log into your IcePORTAL, an account must be defined in the IceWEB Account Control Panel. Log into the IceWEB Account Control Panel using the admin account and password you selected during the checkout process (this information is also contained in the "Welcome to IcePORTAL" email). If you also have the IceMAIL service, you can skip this step as you would already have user mailboxes created. Refer to the Configuring User Account instructions for more information.
3. Administrative Account. Once you have configured at least one account in step 2 above who will be the "administrator" of your IcePORTAL system, you must notify IceWEB Customer Service (via telephone or email at support@iceweb.com) . Provide Customer Service with the account name/email address of the "administrator" and we will assign this first user to your new IcePORTAL. Once this is done, you will be able to log into your IcePORTAL and add permissions so that the rest of your employees, vendors, customers can access your portal.
4. Assign Permissions to Users. Log into your IcePORTAL using the account/email address of the "administrator" (step 3 above). Add additional users that you've already created in step 2 above to IcePORTAL. Each user can be assigned unique permissions or added to user groups. Based on permissions or groups that you assign, specific document libraries, lists, contacts, and pages within your IcePORTAL can be restricted to read-only, read/write, or no access. Refer to the Configuring User Account instructions for more information on accounts and permissions.
5. Customize your Portal. Optionally create new lists, document libraries, discussion threads, web pages, blogs, wiki pages, or other content within your IcePORTAL. There are dozens of pre-defined templates to start from or you can create your own. Refer to the IcePORTAL How-To Guides section for more information.
