Configuring Wireless Services (GoodLink or BlackBerry) within IceWEB Account Control Panel |
The IceWEB Account Control Panel (CP) is your gateway to all of the administrative functions that you can perform on your IceWEB account, including editing billing information, adding domains to your account, ordering new services such as additional mailboxes or storage, creating and editing mailboxes, adding mailbox aliases, creating distribution lists, and adding external contacts to your company directory.
Note: This document describes how to configure BlackBerry or GoodLink services from with the IceWEB Account Control Panel. You must first have purchased the BlackBerry or GoodLink services for each device/user you wish to activate. If you have not purchased these addtional services, you will not see the "Wireless Services" menu options within your Account Control Panel. You can purchase these optional wireless sync services by calling IceWEB Customer Service (800-964-8850) or adding GoodLink or BlackBerry from the Upgrade Wizard under Billing in your Account Control Panel.
To log into the system:
1) Point your web browser to http://cp.iceweb.com. You should get a log-in screen similar to the one below. This login will be the administrative login that you created when you signed up for the IceMAIL service (this information is also contained in your "Welcome to IceMAIL" email you should have received upon successful charge of your credit card. Enter your username and password and click the “Login” button.

2) Once you are logged in successfully, you will see a screen similar to the one below. From this screen, you can make changes to your mailboxes or domains. If you wish to edit your company contact information or give control panel logins to additional employees, click on the “My Account” link. If you wish to review past bills or change your credit card information, click on the “Billing” link. To add mailboxes or make other changes to your email services, click on the “Hosting” link.
Configure Mailbox for GoodLink or BlackBerry
You can enable a Mailbox for GoodLink or BlackBerry wireless services only after you have created the base mailbox as shown in the online article IceWEB Control Panel Quick Start Guide. Note that you must purchase the optional GoodLink or BlackBerry Wireless Synchronization services before the "wireless services" options are available to you in the Control Panel. You can purchase these optional wireless sync services by calling IceWEB Customer Service (800-964-8850) or adding GoodLink or BlackBerry from the Upgrade Wizard under Billing in your Account Control Panel
1) Log into the Account Control Panel as shown above. Click on the Exchange link and you should see a screen similar to the one below:

2) You can configure Wireless Services (GoodLink or BlackBerry) by first going into a user mailbox and enabling wireless services or by selecting Wireless Services from the left-side menu as shown in step 1 above. The instructions below show you how to enable a wireless user by first selecting the user mailbox.
3) Select the Mailboxes link (left side navigation menu) to display a list of mailboxes (see example below). Then click on the mailbox/user that you would like to activate wireless services for.

4) Now you should see the user mailbox information as shown below--note that you are at the General tab shown at the top center.

5) Click the Wireless Services tab (right-most tab at the top center of the screen shown in step 2). This will bring up the Wireless Services options for this mailbox. Click the link labeled Create New Account.

7) Now you will see the screen below indicating that the "device status" is Initializing. This means you are now ready to run the Enterprise Activation from your PDA (under Advanced Options) or run the GoodLink Over-The-Air (OTA) installation (download form http://get.good.com if now already pre-loaded on your PDA).
Note that if the status reads "creating", this means the system is still creating the wireless account--you will need to wait for up to 5 minutes for the system to complete creating before you can proceeed with wireless PDA activation. You may configure other users/accounts and come back to the wireless account later.

8) Click on the View Details link from the screen above to see the password/PIN codes (see example below) that you will need to enter during the activation process. This information will also be sent to the user mailbox as an email--this email contains these same activation codes and instructions for downloading GoodLink or performing a BlackBerry activation.

9) Click the Close button from screen above when done.

10) Note that BlackBerry PDAs will require up to 30 minutes to fully activate and you will see a message on the BlackBerry PDA when done. For GoodLink, you will first download the software on the PDA itself and then run the Over-The-Air (OTA) installation program. Once installed, GoodLink will automatically begin synchronizing with your IceMAIL account. Both GoodLink and BlackBerry require that you have the GoodLink or BlackBerry Unlimited data plan active through your cellular provider--THE MOST COMMON PROBLEM TO BLACKBERRY ACTIVATIONS FAILING IS AN INCORRECT DATA PLAN WITH THE CELLULAR CARRIER.
