How do I update my web files for my IceVISTA web site?
Upon initial setup, you will be provided an account, password, and IP address of your web site. You can upload web files or update your web site through an FTP (File Transfer Protocol) capable application. Typically, your web site developer will provide these files to you or upload them directly for you if you provide them the FTP login information for your site. You can also use web management and development tools such as Macromedia Dreamweaver of Microsoft Frontpage.

Does IceVISTA support back-end databases?
IceVISTA does not support back-end databases at this time. IceVISTA fully supports static web pages, Java-script, and ASP. IceVISTA also supports using third-party e-commerce checkout processes such as Google checkout.

Do I have to purchase a domain name from IceWEB?
You can utilize an existing Internet domain name that you already own or purchase a new one from IceWEB. You must create or change your A Record (i.e. "www") in DNS to point to the IP address that IceWEB will provide you upon initial setup.

What development software does IceWEB recommend to create and update my site?
There are numerous software tools available to help you create and also update your web site. IceWEB web sites are all updated using Macromedia Dreamweaver. Microsoft Frontpage, although fairly basic, is also a commonly used web development tool. Both of these tools enable you to work offline and then post your updates through FTP to our server farm.

Does IceVISTA offer SSL certificates for security?
IceVISTA web sites do not include SSL certificates by default; however, SSL certificates are available through IceWEB upon request for an additional fee. The SSL certificates will enable you to configure all or part of your web site with encrypted communications to protect your customers/visitors when they might enter sensitive information.
