Chief Technology Officer (CTO)

IceWEB is squarely positioned for dramatic growth as organizations of all sizes realize the benefits of cloud computing and virtualization enabled and optimized through unified data storage appliances. As the Chief Technology Officer at IceWEB Storage Corporation you will be a foundational team member to help architect a platform for a B2B professional services recommendation engine and knowledge base.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

• You will be responsible for leading the strategy, development, QA and technical operations, while working with the CEO and COO to create a useful, compelling and engaging service.
• You will also manage the entire development life-cycle: develop project and resource plans/schedules; perform day-to-day project management; assist team in accomplishing all tasks; and demonstrate ownership and accountability for the entire product delivery process.
• The CTO will oversee the hiring, growth, motivation and development of the development team, as well as establishing processes, procedures and metrics to ensure high availability and customer satisfaction.

Experience:

• Prior experience as technology exec, director, or senior engineer at an early stage startup.
• 5-8 years of software development experience building and scaling web applications.

Skills/Qualifications:

• Track record of building motivated, efficient, effective engineering teams 
• Knowledge with deploying into a cloud infrastructure, such as AWS.
• Deeply competent with strong knowledge of architecture, large scale systems, Java/Scala, relational databases (NoSQL), GWT, and RESTful APIs
• Experience with Big Data, crawling and analysis, and the ability to leverage technologies, such as Hadoop, to build job driven apps that process terabytes of data 
• Experience in designing fully rounded products with focus on customer experience
• Experience with product life-cycle process from conception through development into production.
